About the founder

A connector
with skin in the game.

I’m Ronith Dunn — founder and Chief Connector of BlueGene Precision Partners. For 30+ years I’ve built high-impact teams for biotech and rare-disease companies, guided by a promise I made to myself at 21: stay close to patients, and hire the people who will do the same.

The mission is personal.

I was diagnosed with relapsing multiple sclerosis at 21. That diagnosis reshaped how I see this industry. I’ve sat in the infusion chair. I’ve read the labels. I’ve waited for approvals that felt slow when they weren’t. That perspective is what I bring to every search — a bias for candidates who understand that patients aren’t line items on a strategy deck.

I don’t recruit for résumés. I recruit for hearts that beat for the mission — and then I make sure the résumé matches.

“My work is a bridge between science, business, and the people those breakthroughs are for. That’s the only place I want to stand.”

What I actually do.

BlueGene is a fractional talent and advisory practice for rare-disease, neurology, and biotech founders. Most engagements start with a single search or a fractional retainer, then grow into a longer partnership as we build the commercial and advocacy muscle around each hire. I collaborate with a small, senior network of sourcers, advocacy strategists, and AI operators — so clients get the depth of a firm with the accountability of a founder.

Warm · senior · human

Every candidate conversation is one Ronith would want to have been on the other side of. No cold pipelines, no bcc.

Patient-first bias

We screen for people who’ve stayed close to patients — not just those who’ve managed a P&L for a therapy.

AI-supported, human-signed

Perplexity, Apollo, LinkedIn, and modern AI power our sourcing. Every outreach and offer letter still moves through a human.

Connector-led

A good search opens a door. A great one builds a corridor of introductions, advisors, and community that keeps working long after the hire lands.

A quick timeline.

  1. 1992 Career begins in life-sciences search. Placed early leaders across pharma commercial and medical affairs before “rare disease” had a category name.
  2. 1993 Diagnosed with relapsing MS at 21. The diagnosis becomes the anchor for a career-long commitment to patient advocacy and mission-aligned hiring.
  3. 2010s Executive search for rare-disease and biotech. Retained placements with Hansa Biopharma, Liquidia, Savara, Directorie, and others — commercial, medical, and patient-facing leadership.
  4. 2024 MS Views & News fundraising engagement. Advises the ms-RANDA campaign on sponsor development and foundation storytelling.
  5. 2025 BlueGene Precision Partners is founded. Fractional recruiting, AI-enhanced sourcing, strategic workshops, and executive roundtables — built as a modern, connector-led practice.
  6. 2026 Serving 8–10 core clients. Active searches across policy, patient advocacy, commercial launch, and trade & distribution in the rare-disease and neurology space.

Beyond the work.

Based in Stevensville, MD on the Chesapeake Bay. I speak English and French, cook Middle Eastern food most weekends, and spend time on the water whenever I can. I write the Connectors’ Corner newsletter for founders and operators in life-sciences talent, and I’m an active voice for MS awareness — both through my writing and through the community I’ve built over three decades in this industry.
